An abandoned hospital.

Home to diseased animals and toxic mold.

Nobody thinks about this place, let alone what happens here.

It's just us.

We need it that way.

ohhhh my god. oh my god. oh my god.

lowkey this was amazing all the characters were so unique and interesting once you learn more about them in each individual thesis and its crazyyyy i loved it

Cool visual novel about a robot and its maker. I liked it.

Incredibly intriguing! I loved the unique visual style of this visual novel, from the sprites being displayed only in a rectangle to the color palette shifting depending on who's your subject. I also found it fascinating how questions like 'why are they here?' 'why do they keep coming back?' 'who made the machine?' were left unanswered and now I cannot wait for phase 2! When I finished it, I completely forgot that this was made a little over a month from the sheer quality of it!

Think about this everyday of my life

More than anything, I was deeply impressed by the artistic direction of this VN.  The use of color especially, both to provide a visual indicator for the character route and in response to the events of the plot, was very strong~  I also absolutely adored the character portraits: In addition to the art itself being very charming, having the rectangular cut-outs rather than just full portraits—and moreover having the characters move around in the cut-outs for each of their expressions—wins a ton of style points in my book, heheheh~

Learning about each of the characters and watching their situation fall apart time and time again even as the particulars were changed was fascinating.  Can anything be done to save them?  Could this outcome have been avoided?

Whatever the case may end up being, I'm really looking forward to the full release, heheh~

i loved this game. the presentation, in all its simplicity, seems like it took a lot of effort to pull off the way you did, and i really enjoy it. the unconventional character sprites are really cool. repeating the same day numerous times, each loop bringing a new understanding to each character and the way they treat the others... lines that seemed innocuous at first suddenly being given new meaning when you see them as someone else... this is a story that makes me want to chew on it. Osthola was my favorite, i think, but i ended up loving all the characters a lot by the end. overall a really great job, i'm excited to see what happens in Phase 2.

incredible!! some of the best presentation i've seen in ren'py, ESPECIALLY considering the time limit of a month and a half for the game jam which it was made.

the vibes are out of this world, the portraits are so unique and expressive, and the writing is just so solid. despite it all, i'm rooting for these three, in whatever way it can manifest for them. i had to read the whole thing in one go.

the higurashi flavors are delicious, the mystery of the structure of the story itself is so intriguing. every character has something to love in spite of their flaws and eventual conclusion. absolutely looking forward to ~phase 2~ whenever that time may come.

So my intention was to play one of the three routes before going to bed, Sunday night and all, but what ended up happening instead was that I reached the end of Osthola's and I just... had to keep going. There was no questioning it, I needed to know what happened.

There's very clear skill that shines through every aspect of this Act 1, which is no surprise considering your previous game Spare Parts. Still, I was expecting a lot and I was still very pleasantly surprised. Probably one of the most polished and consistent in quality entries from any game jam I've seen. I would hate to be a bit too forward but I feel like I can see some of Aphema's eye for detail and perfection in this one, lol.

So yeah, there's not much I can say other than every aspect of this so far was very good. It made me skip an hour of sleep  which is all I can ask of any visual novel, really. Very impressed, I can't wait for the continuation.

insanely put together for a jam submission, seriously seriously impressed. i hope you're proud of what you were able to make because this fucks!!! hard!! i love the three scrunklies

Really good stuff! I love the style, with the text all to the side and the character portraits all boxy. Kinda reminds me of World of Horror. The pacing and dialogue is also really good, as one can expect from Sophie Rose!

Hello, might I have details of how long it'll be?

(+2)

If my intuition of the structure is correct, I've probably completed around a third of the game, and it took around 30 minutes. I estimate the whole game would be around 1 1/2 to 2 hours?

woahhhh I totally didn't expect that!

Hiiii question, do you by chance know how many endings are there? An estimation is fine, I think like around 6?

(+2)

I don't know if I'd call them "endings," but there are six versions of that final monologue per character, yeah.

oooohhhh thanks a lot thanks thanks <3

yeah versions will do too!

The character portraits are so great in this! The whole presentation is fantastic; the slow pan up the body of the machine early on was so cool! The story and the three characters are so compelling, I just love Osthola so much... <3 Completing the three stories just made me want even more! I'm really curious if there's more to the player character as well... really excited to see a continuation!
